KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Manage Budget
- Estimate and establish cost parameters and budget for purchases.
- Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services and supplies.
Manage Supplier/Vendor
- Handle new supplier and vendor registration.
- Maintaining healthy, reliable and positive relationships with those suppliers is crucial to the success of their organization.
- Manage suppliers to meet objectives related to cost, delivery performance, schedule and quality
- Analyze all suppliers in order to select the most suitable suppliers who are able to deliver high-quality products at competitive pricing,
- Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications and potential future development.
- Investigates potential suppliers recommends those most desirable.
- Interviews supplier representatives regarding specifications, costs, inspection, and similar problems relating to parts equipment.
- Arranges and participates in conferences between suppliers and engineers, purchasers, inspectors, and other company personnel to facilitate material inspection, substitution, standardization, rework, salvage, utilization, and economical procurement of parts equipment or related products.
Analyze
- Analyzes technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities and availability of parts equipment.
- Advises company personnel, suppliers, and customers of nature and function of parts equipment.
Process Documentation
- Liaison with other departments, particularly the Finance and Store departments.
- Liaison with Store department, ensure all orders arrive on time.
- Keep track of the outstanding purchase order.
- Create monthly performance reviews and reports focusing on overall sourcing requirements.
Gather Data
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing and other important data.
- Create and maintain record of price lists for contracts and customers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
- Min 3 years in a similar capacity.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
