Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead ERP Functional Consultant to lead the delivery of ERP implementation projects and support clients throughout their digital transformation journey.

The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding clients from requirement discovery and solution design through configuration, testing, go-live and post-implementation support. This role also involves mentoring junior consultants, managing stakeholders and ensuring high-quality project delivery.

Experience with NetSuite is an advantage. Candidates with strong functional experience in other major ERP platforms, such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Oracle Fusion, are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Discovery and Solution Design

• Lead discovery workshops to understand clients’ business requirements and operational challenges.
• Conduct process walkthroughs and Conference Room Pilot sessions to validate proposed solutions.
• Perform gap-fit analysis between business requirements and standard ERP functionality.
• Translate business requirements into practical and scalable ERP solution designs.
• Recommend suitable configurations, customisations and integrations based on business needs.

2. Functional Documentation and System Configuration

• Prepare and review key project documents, including Business Requirement Documents, Functional Design Documents, solution blueprints and functional specifications.
• Lead system configuration workshops and oversee the setup of relevant ERP modules.
• Ensure clear traceability between business requirements, configuration decisions and delivered solutions.
• Work closely with technical consultants to ensure reports, workflows, scripts and integrations meet functional requirements.

3. Testing and Project Delivery

• Develop and manage testing strategies for System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
• Prepare test scenarios and oversee defect tracking, prioritisation and resolution.
• Ensure all functional issues are properly documented, communicated and resolved before go-live.
• Monitor project risks, delivery timelines and functional workstreams.
• Act as the main escalation point for functional and stakeholder-related matters.

4. Data Migration, Cutover and Go-Live

• Advise clients on data cleansing, mapping, validation and reconciliation.
• Lead data migration planning for master and transactional data.
• Prepare cutover plans, readiness checklists and contingency arrangements.
• Coordinate go-live activities and ensure all stakeholders understand their responsibilities.
• Provide post-go-live hypercare support to stabilise operations and encourage user adoption.

5. Team Leadership and Stakeholder Management

• Lead and mentor junior and mid-level functional consultants.
• Delegate tasks and review deliverables to maintain project quality.
• Manage client expectations and communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of ERP implementation methodologies and delivery standards.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of ERP functional consulting experience; or
• Proven experience leading at least two full-cycle ERP implementation projects.
• Experience managing multi-module, multi-entity or multi-subsidiary ERP environments.
• Strong understanding of business processes such as:
• Finance and accounting
• Procurement
• Inventory management
• Supply chain management
• Experience covering the full ERP lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, cutover, go-live and post-implementation support.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage escalations and explain technical or functional concepts to non-technical users.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Good documentation, analytical and organisational skills.
• Able to manage multiple workstreams and priorities effectively.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle Fusion or another established ERP platform.
• Experience with ERP integrations, reporting, workflows and cross-system process design.
• ERP or relevant professional certifications.
• Exposure to multi-country, multi-subsidiary or multi-entity business environments.
