Role Description

This is an internship position for our Electrical and Instrumentation department at PGEO Edible Oils Sdn Bhd (A Member of Wilmar International Group of Companies) in Pasir Gudang.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Control & Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, automation, and plant engineering.
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits, control systems, PLC, instrumentation, or industrial automation is an added advantage.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a plant/manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the E&I team in supporting electrical plant systems, including transformers, switchgear, motor control centres (MCC), control systems, and instrumentation equipment.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities for electrical equipment, instruments, and control systems to ensure reliable plant operations.
  • Assist with troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation, PLC, and SCADA-related issues under the guidance of engineers.
  • Support installation, testing, and commissioning activities for electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Assist in instrument calibration activities and ensure proper documentation of maintenance records.
  • Participate in engineering improvement projects, equipment upgrading, and optimisation initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing and updating electrical drawings, maintenance records, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Support coordination with technicians, contractors, and vendors during maintenance or project activities.
  • Ensure engineering activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures, safety requirements, and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Support the implementation and compliance of management systems such as HACCP, GMP, HALAL, ISO, OHS, and RSPO requirements where applicable.
