Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Security Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and governing enterprise security architecture to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational systems and data. This role works closely with business stakeholders, developers, engineers, and technology teams to embed security into business initiatives while ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards and industry best practices.

Security Architecture & Strategy

  • Design and implement enterprise security architecture frameworks, standards, and reference architectures.
  • Develop security strategies aligned with business objectives and technology roadmaps.
  • Create security patterns and architecture blueprints to enable secure and scalable technology adoption.
  • Ensure security architecture aligns with regulatory, governance, and organizational requirements.

Risk Assessment & Security Governance

  • Conduct security architecture reviews, risk assessments, and threat modeling for applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
  • Identify cybersecurity risks and recommend practical, cost-effective security controls.
  • Ensure security controls are documented, traceable, and aligned with enterprise security policies.
  • Provide security recommendations throughout project and solution lifecycles.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical leadership and security guidance to developers, engineers, and project teams.
  • Promote secure-by-design and secure development lifecycle (SDLC) principles.
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to integrate security requirements into projects.
  • Review solution designs to ensure compliance with security standards.

Stakeholder & Customer Management

  • Manage customer and stakeholder expectations throughout security engagements.
  • Handle security-related inquiries, architecture consultations, and issue resolution within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Present security recommendations, architecture reviews, and risk findings to technical teams and senior management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, application, cloud, compliance, and operations teams.

Cybersecurity Operations & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends, particularly within highly regulated industries such as finance and insurance.
  • Recommend improvements to strengthen the organization's overall security posture.
  • Support incident response activities by providing architectural guidance and security expertise.
  • Continuously evaluate new security technologies and best practices.

Documentation & Governance

  • Develop and maintain security architecture documentation, standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and technical knowledge bases.
  • Produce security assessment reports, architecture review documentation, executive presentations, and technical briefings.
  • Ensure architecture decisions and security controls are properly documented and maintained.

Pay: From RM9,000.00 per month
