Key Responsibilities
1. Merchant Onboarding
- Process new merchant applications and supporting documents.
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of merchant information.
- Conduct KYC (Know Your Customer) document verification.
- Ensure all required forms and agreements are properly completed.
- Submit merchant applications to acquiring banks or relevant internal departments.
- Follow up on pending applications until activation.
2. Merchant Administration
- Maintain and update merchant records in internal systems.
- Process merchant profile updates, including:
- Business information
- Bank account details
- Settlement information
- Contact details
- Terminal allocation
- MDR changes
- Ensure merchant information is accurate and up-to-date.
3. Merchant Support
- Respond to merchant administrative enquiries via phone, email, or messaging platforms.
- Assist merchants with documentation requirements.
- Coordinate with Sales and Technical teams on merchant requests.
- Monitor outstanding documentation and follow up accordingly.
4. Operational Coordination
- Liaise with acquiring banks, payment schemes, and internal departments regarding merchant matters.
- Coordinate terminal deployment requests with the Operations team.
- Track merchant activation progress.
- Escalate delays or operational issues when necessary.
5. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure merchant files comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing records.
- Assist during compliance audits and internal reviews.
- Ensure confidentiality of merchant information.
6. Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on:
- Merchant onboarding status
- Activation status
- Pending documentation
- Merchant cancellations
- Merchant amendments
- Maintain accurate operational records and reports.
7. Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve merchant administration processes.
- Assist in developing SOPs and workflow documentation.
- Support automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
8. Cross-Department Support
- Work closely with:
- Merchant Sales
- Technical Support
- Operations
- Finance
- Compliance
- Ensure timely resolution of merchant-related administrative matters.
9. Other Duties
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Superior or Management from time to time.
Job Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in administration, merchant support, payment industry, banking, fintech, or customer service.
- Fresh graduates with a positive attitude are encouraged to apply.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
