AIXTRON’s new manufacturing & engineering hub in Malaysia

We are building a new greenfield manufacturing and engineering hub in Batu Kawan, Penang. The site will provide a state-of-the-art cleanroom environment for assembly & test of our high-end systems and will contribute to engineering the next generation of products. Operations are planned to start in 2027 with rapid ramp-up. Beyond technology, the new location is designed as a modern workplace with state-of-the art office and amenities — built to foster collaboration and a strong focus on people’s wellbeing.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for purpose-driven builders: hands-on professionals with entrepreneurial spirit who enjoy setting up structures, improving processes and taking ownership in a fast-moving environment. As pioneers of our Malaysia site, you will help to shape not only your function, but also how we work together locally — while being connected to a global team of around 1,000 employees from ~60 nationalities across Asia, Europe and the US. Responsibilities

Receiving & Put‑Away

  • Unload incoming containers/trucks; verify quantity and condition against delivery order / PO.
  • Sort and stage received materials for inspection by quality control.
  • Move accepted materials to designated bin locations using forklift, reach truck, or pallet jack.
  • Perform real-time transaction posting in WMS (using RF scanner).
  • Ensure system accuracy matches physical movements at all times.
  • Ensure all warehouse movements are system-recorded before physical transfer completion.

Material Issuance to Shopfloor

  • Pick raw materials and components based on production picking lists or kitting sheets.
  • Deliver materials to designated shop floor areas or production line side bins.
  • Support line-side replenishment (kanban / supermarket / kitting model as defined).
  • Return unused materials from shopfloor to warehouse with correct documentation.
  • Follow FIFO/FEFO principles during picking and issuance.
  • Maintain orderly and contamination-free material presentation at production lines.

Finished Goods & Outbound Handling

  • Move finished goods from production line to warehouse finished goods area.
  • Pick and pack finished goods against shipping orders; prepare pallets for outbound loading.
  • Assist in loading outbound trucks/containers safely and efficiently.

Inventory Support

  • Participate in cycle counting and physical inventory as directed.
  • Report inventory discrepancies (shortages, overages, damaged goods) to warehouse supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate bin location labels and ensure no mixed Stock Keeping Units in storage.
  • Support root cause identification for inventory discrepancies.

Equipment & Safety

  • Operate forklift, reach truck, electric pallet jack, and hand pallet jack safely (valid forklift license required for powered equipment).
  • Perform daily pre‑use checks on equipment and report defects immediately.
  • Follow all warehouse safety rules: wear proper PPE, maintain clear aisles, stack loads safely.
  • Keep warehouse clean and organized (5S standards).
  • Stop unsafe operations immediately and report hazards.
  • Participate in safety briefings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Documentation & Communication

  • Ensure all required transactions and checks are recorded in digital systems or standardized forms.
  • Communicate any material shortages or delays to warehouse supervisor promptly.
  • Coordinate with production line leaders on material drop‑off and pickup timing.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Certificate in Logistics/Warehousing.
  • At least 1–2 years of material handling or warehouse experience in a Malaysian manufacturing environment.
  • Valid forklift driving license.
  • Familiarity with WMS scanner.
  • Able to lift up to around 20kg, stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Punctual, disciplined, team player, attention to detail, safety‑conscious.
  • Fluent proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and average level of English (understand safety signs, basic instructions, picking list and labels).

Working Conditions & Environment

  • Role based at AIXTRON Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.
  • Majority of the work is at Batu Kawan site; work at Kulim site will be requested as needed.
  • Shift works might be required according to production shifts.
