Role: Talent Acquisition Associate

Role Purpose
Support the recruitment and selection of Malaysia’s most promising future leaders into the Fellowship, contributing to a nationwide movement to end education inequity.
Principal Accountabilities
- Support outreach and recruitment activities across campuses, virtual spaces, and events to attract high-potential candidates.
- Build relationships with universities, student organisations, and non-university partners locally and abroad to support recruitment efforts.
- Deliver recruitment pitches and info sessions, and represent TFM in a professional and inspiring manner.
- Meet recruitment targets set for assigned pathways or campaigns, while maintaining quality and diversity in the candidate pool.
- Execute candidate screening, interviews, and selection activities, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience.
- Track and report on recruitment performance and support the improvement of recruitment strategies using data.
- Support early engagement efforts through events, workshops, and collaboration with student and community partners.
- Collaborate across functions to support placements, candidate onboarding, and general recruitment operations.
- Identify and manage a team of Campus Leaders, who will serve as brand ambassadors at a range of prioritized colleges. Manage a systematic strategy to enable their effectiveness and growth.

Technical/ Functional competencies:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with the ability to deliver compelling pitches and engagement sessions.
- Ability to conduct structured interviews and assessments to evaluate candidate potential effectively.
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including universities, organizations, and student communities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret recruitment data to drive talent acquisition strategies.
- Tech-savvy with experience or willingness to learn CRM and knowledge management systems (e.g., Salesforce, Google Workspace, Power BI).
- Willing to travel, as well as working over unconventional hours (e.g. weekends or nights for recruitment & selection events or calls with candidates in different time zones).

Experiences & qualification
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Fresh graduates may apply; prior experience in recruitment is not required but will be an added advantage.
- Strong proficiency in English (written and spoken) and basic proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia.
- Familiarity with Malaysian student communities local and abroad (US, UK, Australia, etc.) is beneficial.
- Experience using digital tools such as Google Suites, Salesforce, Canva and Zoom is a plus.
