About the Company
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer – Valves to support the FEED and engineering development of a major offshore oil and gas project. This role will focus on procurement quality assurance, vendor surveillance, manufacturing quality control, technical compliance, and inspection management for critical valve packages and associated materials.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be involved throughout the complete procurement and manufacturing lifecycle, from technical bid evaluation and purchase order review through manufacturing surveillance, factory acceptance testing, final inspection, and shipment release.
Responsibilities
- Procurement Quality & Vendor Management
- Ensure compliance with project quality requirements, specifications, applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.
- Participate in Technical Bid Evaluations and Purchase Order reviews.
- Attend and support vendor Kick-Off Meetings, presenting project quality requirements and expectations.
- Coordinate with vendors, project teams, and third-party inspectors to ensure quality requirements are fully understood and implemented.
- Documentation Review & Technical Compliance
- Review and provide comments on vendor quality documentation, including:
- Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Manufacturing Procedures and Specifications
- Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) Procedures
- Inspection Reports
- Manufacturing Records
- Quality Documentation Packages
- Evaluate compliance with project specifications, purchase order requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Resolve technical and quality-related comments through vendor discussions and clarification meetings.
- Inspection & Manufacturing Surveillance
- Organize and lead Pre-Inspection Meetings (PIMs).
- Verify vendor readiness and review Notices of Inspection (NOI).
- Coordinate inspection activities with internal stakeholders and third-party inspection agencies.
- Monitor manufacturing activities and conduct quality surveillance throughout production.
- Review and comment on third-party inspection reports and inspection findings.
- Quality Assurance & Non-Conformance Management
- Issue and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when deviations or non-compliances are identified.
- Review and assess corrective action plans, root cause analyses, and preventive actions submitted by vendors.
- Ensure timely closure of quality issues and verification of implemented corrective actions.
- Review final manufacturing record books, as-built dossiers, and project close-out documentation.
Scope of Equipment
The role will support quality assurance activities for a range of valve types, including:
- Ball Valves
- Gate Valves
- Check Valves
- Butterfly Valves
- Double Block & Bleed (DBB) Valves
Materials Experience
Candidates should have experience with valves manufactured from materials such as:
- Carbon Steel
- Stainless Steel
- Duplex Stainless Steel
- Super Duplex Stainless Steel
- Inconel 625
- Nickel Aluminium Bronze
- Titanium
Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering.
- Experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing inspection, procurement quality, vendor surveillance, or related engineering activities.
- Proven experience supporting valve manufacturing, inspection, and testing activities.
- Experience within offshore oil & gas, EPC, EPCI, or major energy projects is highly desirable.

Certifications
Candidates should possess at least one of the following:
- CSWIP 3.1
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
- International Welding Engineer (IWE)
- Additional NDT certifications will be considered advantageous.
Preferred Background
- Offshore Oil & Gas project experience
- FEED and detailed engineering project experience
- Procurement Quality and Vendor Quality Management experience
- Manufacturing surveillance and inspection experience
- Experience supporting major EPC/EPCI developments
- Middle East offshore project experience is an advantage
