HAC Technical Programme Manager – Data Centre Cooling

Singapore – site-based at a data centre

SGD 9,350–11,500 per month

Own the design-to-handover lifecycle for critical cooling and environmental-control systems across APAC. This is a technical programme role, not PMO: you will challenge designs, standardise engineering packages, evaluate vendors and assure quality through installation, commissioning and final handover.

About the role

You will lead the development and delivery of the HAC engineering product and system portfolio across regional data centre programmes.

The role follows the same technical programme-management lifecycle as the broader Mechanical TPM position but carries a more specialist focus on cooling, air-conditioning and heat-management systems.

You will combine technical engineering credibility with strong coordination across design teams, project stakeholders, consultants, contractors and equipment vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead HAC system design development across products, programmes and the wider APAC portfolio.
• Develop and standardise engineering packages, specifications and technical requirements.
• Review technical designs before tender, procurement and construction.
• Challenge designs, drawings and proposals to ensure they meet performance, quality and operational requirements.
• Evaluate consultants, contractors, equipment suppliers and vendor technical submissions.
• Coordinate internal engineering, construction, facilities, commissioning, EHS and project stakeholders.
• Maintain technical issue, risk, action and mitigation trackers.
• Recommend improvements covering technology, cost, programme, resilience and system performance.
• Coordinate QA/QC reviews and site installation inspections.
• Participate in and witness commissioning and performance-testing activities.
• Drive defects, inspections and technical actions through to closure.
• Review as-built drawings, operating information and handover documentation.
• Produce weekly follow-up updates, monthly reports and technical improvement presentations.

Requirements

• Strong engineering experience within data centres, mission-critical facilities or similarly complex infrastructure.
• Technical background in HVAC, cooling, air-conditioning, environmental control or related mechanical systems.
• Experience delivering engineering systems from design development through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Proven ability to review and challenge technical designs, specifications, drawings and vendor proposals.
• Experience managing consultants, contractors and specialist equipment vendors.
• Good understanding of QA/QC, installation assurance, commissioning and defect close-out.
• Able to work on site at a data centre in Singapore.

Desirable background

• Experience within hyperscale, colocation or large campus data centre environments.
• Exposure to data centre cooling or thermal-management systems.
• Knowledge of air-side or water-side cooling, chilled-water systems, heat-rejection equipment or cooling controls.
• Experience developing standardised engineering packages or repeatable technical products.
• Understanding of resilience, energy efficiency, thermal performance and lifecycle cost.
• Experience supporting engineering programmes across APAC.
