IHB Healthcare is a growing healthcare trading company supplying medical devices and healthcare products throughout Malaysia. We are seeking an experienced finance professional to strengthen our Accounts team and support the company's continued growth.
Job Summary
The Assistant Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Accounts Department, supervising the Accounts Team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, supporting budgeting and cash flow management, maintaining statutory compliance, and driving continuous improvements in financial processes and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting
· Manage the full set of accounts, month-end closing and financial reporting.
· Review accounting records, reconciliations. Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
· Review and process supplier payments in accordance to payment schedules.
2. Credit Control
· Review customer creditworthiness and recommend appropriate credit limits.
· Monitor accounts receivable ageing and lead collection efforts for overdue accounts.
· Recommend credit exceptions, CTOS listing, or legal recovery where necessary.
3. Financial Planning & Analysis
· Prepare weekly financial reports, monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
· Analyse profitability, cost centres, and financial performance.
· Recommend initiatives to improve profitability and cost efficiency.
4. Inventory and Cost Control
· Review inventory costing, foreign exchange valuation, and inventory impairment.
· Analyse slow-moving inventory and recommend optimisation strategies.
· Support cost control initiatives through supplier pricing reviews and spending discipline.
5. Cash Flow & Treasury
· Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital to ensure sufficient liquidity.
· Support management in funding decisions and optimise placement of surplus funds.
· Monitor foreign exchange trends and recommend risk management strategies.
6. Payroll, Statutory Compliance
· Review payroll accuracy and ensure correct accounting entries.
· Ensure timely statutory payments and submissions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF, LHDN).
· Liaise with statutory authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.
7. Audit, Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
· Coordinate annual audits and maintain audit-ready financial records.
· Prepare e-Invoice submissions, corporate tax estimates, and support annual tax filings.
· Monitor changes in tax regulations and advise Management on compliance requirements.
8. Team Leadership & Process Improvement
· Lead, supervise, and develop the Accounts Team to achieve departmental KPIs.
· Strengthen internal controls, identify financial risks, and ensure timely financial closing.
· Drive process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency.
Reports to: Directors
Requirements
· Minimum 6 years accounting and finance experience
· Degree in Accounting, Finance or ACCA/CPA/CIMA
· Experience in full set of accounts, and supervising an Accounts team
· Experience in a trading or distribution company is an advantage
· Familiarity with Autocount accounting software is an advantage
