Job Summary
Manage and execute end-to-end financial market operations, ensuring accurate trade processing, reconciliations, and corporate actions. Lead system enhancements and regulatory initiatives while collaborating across teams to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end trade processes including trade capture, validation, settlement, and life-cycle event management to ensure accurate transaction recording.
- Perform daily cash and position reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate resolutions with internal teams and external counterparties.
- Monitor intraday and end-of-day trade flows to verify completeness, accuracy, and timely processing across multiple systems.
- Process corporate actions accurately to reflect changes in Contracts for Difference (CFD) books and records.
- Support collateral operations by managing exceptions and assisting with regulatory reporting requirements.
- Enforce operational controls, promptly escalate risks, incidents, or process gaps to maintain compliance and mitigate operational risk.
- Contribute to maintaining high service standards and operational efficiency within the CFD Operations team.
- Participate in system enhancement projects, new product launches, process improvements, and regulatory initiatives by gathering business requirements and aligning stakeholders.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate new or updated operational workflows to ensure system and process integrity.
- Collaborate with technology teams to diagnose root causes of operational issues and propose effective solutions.
- Support project governance through progress tracking, reporting, and risk and issue management.
Required competencies and certifications
- Strong understanding of Financial Markets Operations and financial market infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to manage concurrent BAU workload and project tasks with effective prioritization and time management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills with high attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across Trading, Technology, Risk, Finance, Compliance, and external brokers/clients.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to drive improvements in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Knowledge of automation tools such as SQL, VBA, and Power BI.
- Associate Level: 0 to 3 years of experience in Financial Markets Operations, preferably in equities or derivatives.Senior Associate Level: 3+ years of Financial Markets Operations experience with ownership of project/change initiatives and BAU processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
