Role Description This is a contract, on-site Data Analyst – Insurance role based in Greater Kuala Lumpur. The Data Analyst will work with insurance-related data sets to support underwriting, claims, pricing, and risk management decisions. Daily responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, and validating data, performing statistical and analytical assessments, and building data models to uncover trends and patterns. The role involves preparing reports and dashboards for stakeholders, translating complex findings into clear insights, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as operations, finance, and IT. The Data Analyst will also support the implementation of data quality procedures and contribute to continuous improvement of analytical processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and proven experience in Data Analytics.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Statistics for insurance-related analysis and risk assessment.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Data Modeling to structure and interpret complex insurance data sets.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to present insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with insurance domain concepts (underwriting, claims, pricing, risk) is highly beneficial.
- Experience with data tools such as SQL, Excel, BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) or statistical software (e.g., R, Python) is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or a related field is advantageous.
- Ability to work on-site in Greater Kuala Lumpur, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines.
