Platform EngineerRole Description

We are seeking an innovative and highly skilled Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable technology platforms that enable efficient software development, deployment, and business operations. In this role, you will develop cloud-native infrastructure, automate platform services, enhance system reliability, and optimize developer productivity by delivering modern infrastructure solutions and engineering best practices.

You will collaborate closely with software engineers, DevOps teams, cloud architects, cybersecurity specialists, site reliability engineers, product managers, and IT operations to design resilient platform architectures, implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), improve CI/CD pipelines, and ensure high availability across enterprise systems. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, automation skills, and a passion for building highly scalable platforms that support digital transformation and continuous delivery.

Key responsibilities include designing cloud infrastructure, automating deployment pipelines, managing container orchestration platforms, monitoring system performance, improving platform security, optimizing infrastructure costs, implementing observability solutions, supporting disaster recovery planning, and maintaining platform documentation. The Platform Engineer will also drive infrastructure modernization, configuration management, system integration, performance tuning, incident resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with security, governance, and operational standards.

Success in this role requires strong engineering principles, problem-solving capabilities, collaboration, and the ability to deliver secure, resilient, and high-performing platforms that empower development teams and support organizational growth.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud and on-premises platform infrastructure.
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and continuous deployment.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using modern automation tools.
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters, container platforms, and orchestration environments.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
  • Optimize platform performance, scalability, availability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment efficiency and developer experience.
  • Strengthen platform security, identity management, and compliance controls.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and support incident response activities.
  • Automate operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Manage cloud resources and optimize infrastructure utilization and costs.
  • Support disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity planning.
  • Maintain platform documentation, standards, and technical procedures.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend infrastructure improvements.
  • Promote DevOps culture, automation, and engineering best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, containerization, and microservices architecture.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Pulumi.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, DNS, load balancing, and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Go, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or Splunk.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, identity management, secrets management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • High level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to automation, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.
  • Relevant certifications in cloud platforms, Kubernetes, Terraform, or DevOps are advantageous.
