Job Title: Construction Manager (Site-Based)

Role Description

The Construction Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Gelang Patah, Johor responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction operations and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role includes coordinating site activities, supervising construction teams and subcontractors, and enforcing safety standards and regulatory compliance. The Construction Manager will monitor project progress, manage resources, review drawings and specifications, and resolve site issues to maintain quality workmanship. The role also involves collaborating with project stakeholders, preparing progress reports, supporting budgeting and cost control, and driving continuous improvement in construction methods and site management.

Qualifications

• Strong supervisory skills to lead site teams, manage subcontractors, and coordinate daily construction activities.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders including consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Construction and safety skills to interpret technical drawings, oversee site works, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Relevant experience as a Construction Manager or in a similar role within building, steel, façade, or infrastructure projects is highly beneficial.
• Identify and resolve site issues, risks, and delays in a timely manner
• Attend site meetings and represent the company in coordination discussions
• Monitor construction progress and prepare regular site reports

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Proven experience working with main contractors on large-scale projects (e.g. industrial buildings, data centres, commercial developments)
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site management practices
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage fast-track project timelines
• Willing to be site-based in Johor
