The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, procuring, and ensuring the timely delivery of electrical and instrumentation materials required for projects and maintenance activities. The role involves vendor management, price negotiation, purchase order processing, inventory coordination, and ensuring quality and cost-effective procurement in accordance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure electrical and instrumentation materials, equipment, and spare parts.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from multiple suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contracts with vendors.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with approved purchase requisitions.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with project, engineering, stores, and accounts departments regarding procurement requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers and identify new vendors.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchases to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Verify supplier invoices and delivery documents before forwarding for payment.
- Ensure purchased materials meet technical specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and purchase reports.
