Employment Type: 12-month contract, renewable annually
Location: Client’s office, Singapore
Role Overview:
The Event Support Engineer will be based at our client’s premises and provide technical assistance for corporate meetings, town halls, executive sessions, hybrid events, and video conferences. This is a junior role, and training and guidance will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the setup, testing, operation, and dismantling of AV equipment for meetings and events.
- Conduct pre-event equipment checks and assist with event rehearsals.
- Provide onsite technical assistance during physical, virtual, and hybrid events.
- Support Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, and other collaboration platforms.
- Perform Level 1 troubleshooting for AV and video conferencing systems.
- Check power, cables, connections, input sources, microphones, cameras, displays, and audio settings.
- Restart equipment and applications according to approved procedures.
- Record incident details and escalate unresolved issues to the senior engineer or Level 2 support team.
- Maintain event schedules, equipment records, and incident reports.
- Coordinate with event organisers, internal teams, and external vendors.
- Support early-morning, evening, or weekend events when required.
Requirements
- Nitec, Higher Nitec, Diploma, or relevant technical qualification in AV, IT, Electronics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Entry-level candidates or candidates with up to two years of relevant experience are welcome.
- Basic knowledge of AV equipment and video conferencing systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Webex is an advantage.
- Good communication, teamwork, and customer-service skills.
- Willing to learn and follow established procedures.
- Able to remain calm and professional during live events.
- Able to work flexible hours according to the client’s event schedule.
The position is subject to annual renewal based on performance, business requirements, and continuation of the client contract.
