Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment while troubleshooting faults and performing testing and inspections. Read electrical drawings, carry out preventive maintenance, and assist engineers to support project work effectively.
Responsibilities
- Install electrical systems and equipment to meet operational requirements
- Maintain electrical systems and equipment to ensure reliable performance
- Repair electrical faults promptly to minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques
- Perform electrical testing and inspections to verify system safety and functionality
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams accurately
- Carry out preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failures
- Follow workplace safety rules and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Assist engineers by supporting project work and tasks as needed
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma, NITEC, Higher NITEC, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years 9 months of relevant work experience in electrical engineering or related roles
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
- Basic knowledge of electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays when required
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
