• Minimum two years of experience as an Onboard Trainer, Learning and Development Coordinator, Corporate Trainer or in a similar position.

• Shipboard or cruise-industry experience is strongly preferred. 
• Strong presentation, facilitation and public-speaking abilities. 
• Excellent leadership, coaching and interpersonal skills. 
• Able to motivate, guide and engage employees at different organisational levels. 
• Strong administrative, planning and organisational skills. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, spreadsheets and database systems. 
• Able to maintain accurate training documentation and reports. 
• Capable of working independently when conducting training and collaboratively when planning programmes with shipboard management. 
• Flexible, resilient and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced shipboard environment. 
• Excellent spoken and written English is required. 
• An additional language is an advantage.

Jobs Kreate is recruiting a Learning & Development Coordinator on behalf of an established international cruise company.

The successful candidate will oversee shipboard learning and development activities, training administration, employee development and crew welfare programmes. This role is responsible for promoting continuous learning, teamwork, crew engagement and job satisfaction across the vessel.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and administer all onboard learning and e-learning programmes. 
• Plan, schedule and maintain the vessel’s monthly training calendar. 
• Deliver guest-service, employee onboarding, leadership and other operational training programmes. 
• Provide coaching and development support to department heads, supervisors and crew members. 
• Support talent development and succession-planning initiatives. 
• Maintain accurate training records, databases and reports. 
• Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, performance monitoring and programme outcomes. 
• Identify training needs in collaboration with the Human Resources Manager and onboard leadership team. 
• Support the sign-on and onboarding process during periods of high crew movement. 
• Participate in Train-the-Trainer sessions and learning-development meetings. 
• Visit departments regularly to engage with crew members and support workplace learning. 
• Support a multicultural crew environment and contribute to employee satisfaction, productivity and retention.  
• Coordinate the onboard crew welfare programme, including activities, meetings, communications and employee-engagement initiatives. 
• Manage training and crew-welfare supplies and inventory. 
• Monitor training outcomes and recommend improvements. 
• Participate in special projects assigned by the Human Resources Manager. 
• Follow all onboard public-health, environmental, safety and security procedures. 
• Participate in mandatory safety, emergency and evacuation training.
