Job Description:
This position will be fully responsible for the investment promotion and operations of the company’s Digital Technology Industrial Park in Malaysia, including corporate services, park management and coordination of compliant land use for greenfield developments.
The role will drive the industrial park’s development, land sales and industrial ecosystem growth. The park primarily targets the following sectors:
- Digital centres and data centres
- E-commerce, warehousing and logistics
- Biotechnology and pharmaceuticals
- Semiconductor supply chain
- High-technology and environmental protection industries
- The successful candidate must possess strong capabilities in investment promotion, government coordination, land sales and industrial park operations management.
Key Responsibilities
A. Investment Promotion, Land Sales and Industrial
Development — Core Responsibilities
- Develop the industrial park’s annual investment promotion strategy, including clear targets and a list of priority clients.
- Attract and facilitate the establishment of high-value companies in digital centres, semiconductors, biopharmaceuticals, electronic information and related industries.
- Manage the entire investment promotion process, including client development, commercial negotiations, site-selection consultation, proposal implementation, contract signing and tenant onboarding.
- Expand domestic and international investment promotion channels and establish strong partnerships with government agencies, industry associations and professional industrial parks.
- Achieve annual investment promotion KPIs, including investment or sales value, number of projects and industrial structure optimisation targets.
B. Industrial Park Development, Land Sales and Government Coordination
- Liaise with government agencies, including MIDA, MITI, local governments, land offices and municipal councils, to facilitate approvals and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate the development of the park’s infrastructure, including civil works, planning, landscaping and M&E systems.
- Drive the development of critical infrastructure such as data centres, power connections, water supply, drainage, wastewater treatment and fibre-optic networks.
- Monitor critical construction milestones and ensure key projects are completed on time and in accordance with quality and quantity requirements.
- Assist clients with environmental impact assessments, development planning approvals, building permits and other regulatory approval and construction application procedures.
C. Corporate Services and Industrial Park Operations
- Establish a corporate service system for park tenants, including standard operating procedures for company registration, licences, taxation and talent recruitment.
- Develop the industrial park’s operating system, covering investment promotion, land sales, property management, facilities management and customer service.
- Maintain strong client relationships, improve customer satisfaction and optimise the park’s industrial ecosystem.
- Promote the development of supporting facilities and services, including accommodation, commercial facilities, talent services and education services.
D. Team Management and Cross-Border Communication
- Manage local teams, including the investment and sales team, corporate services team and construction coordination team.
- Maintain close communication with Group Headquarters to ensure alignment on strategy, resources and policy information.
- Manage the project’s annual budget, planning and cost-control activities.
Job Requirements
- More than 5–10 years of experience in industrial park investment promotion, operations or project development, with strong knowledge of Malaysia’s investment policies and business environment.
- Familiarity with the investment attraction and project-establishment processes for digital centres, electronic information, semiconductors, biopharmaceuticals or related industries.
- Experience communicating and coordinating with MIDA, MITI and local government authorities to facilitate project implementation.
- Familiarity with industrial park development processes and the ability to work effectively with architectural, M&E and contractor teams.
- Fluent in English and proficient in Mandarin, with strong cross-cultural communication skills.
- Experience working with industrial or technology parks in Cyberjaya, Iskandar Malaysia, Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Batu Kawan or Penang is preferred.
- Experience in site selection for foreign-invested technology companies.
- Experience coordinating data centre, e-commerce or semiconductor projects.
- Established relationships or networks with local government agencies or relevant industries.
- Strong investment promotion, sales and business development capabilities
- Good understanding of industrial policies and construction compliance processes
- Strong execution and cross-departmental coordination skills
- Excellent communication and government-relations management capabilities
- Results-oriented, resilient under pressure and highly responsible
Pay: RM16,000.00 - RM22,000.00 per hour
