ASTAR Management Services is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company operating a modern production plant equipped with advanced SMT production lines and automated machinery. We are seeking an experienced SMT Equipment Engineer to oversee equipment maintenance, optimize machine performance, and support continuous improvement in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and overhaul of SMT equipment, including pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, screen printers, AOI, and SPI.
• Troubleshoot equipment faults and carry out repairs to minimize production downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely availability of critical components.
• Support new product introduction (NPI), equipment commissioning, and parameter optimization.
• Analyze equipment performance data and implement machine upgrades and automation improvement projects.
• Work closely with the Quality team to investigate equipment-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure equipment complies with DOSH, RoHS, and EHS safety standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, calibration, and equipment history records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in SMT equipment engineering within the electronics manufacturing industry.
• Hands-on experience with SMT equipment such as Yamaha, Fuji, JUKI, or equivalent brands.
• Strong knowledge of SMT equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and process optimization.
• Familiar with the complete SMT production process and equipment performance improvement.
• Experience in spare parts management and maintenance planning is an added advantage.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in English; basic Mandarin is an added advantage.
