Role Overview

We are looking for a highly capable Malaysia accountant with strong technical accounting skills and genuine interest in next-generation AI accounting software. You will play a key role in supporting our Malaysian and international clients, ensuring accurate financial operations while actively collaborating with our AI systems to automate and elevate traditional accounting processes. This role offers the flexibility to work from Malaysia with the ability to travel or work abroad on assignments.

Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle accounting operations for Malaysian and international clients (AR, AP, GL, bank reconciliations, month-end & year-end closing).

Work closely with our AI accounting teammate to review, validate, and improve automated processes such as invoice processing, reconciliation, and financial reporting.

Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards (MFRS), tax regulations (SST, income tax), and international standards as required for cross-border operations.

Integrate and optimize traditional accounting software with next-gen AI tools.

Perform financial analysis, prepare management reports, and provide proactive insights to support business decisions.

Handle multi-currency transactions and international financial reporting.

Support audit preparation and work with external auditors.

Continuously identify opportunities to enhance efficiency using AI, automation, and data analytics.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on accounting experience.

Technical Skills (Must Have):

Strong proficiency in AutoCount or Xero, or Sage or SQL

Strong interest in AI-powered accounting software, automation tools, or intelligent ERP systems.

International Readiness: Willingness and ability to work abroad on short- or medium-term assignments.

Excellent command of English (both written and spoken). 

Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment and collaborate with AI systems.
