Role: VMware Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Singapore

Experience: 7-12 Years

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in building, configuring, and maintaining physical servers in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience in installing, configuring, and administering VMware vSphere/ESXi environments.
• Expertise in VMware vCenter Server deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in VM provisioning, migration (vMotion), cloning, templates, and resource management.
• Strong knowledge of server hardware, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.
• Experience in performance monitoring, capacity planning, patching, upgrades, and system health checks.
• Hands-on experience in VMware infrastructure support, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.

Roles & Responsibilities

Build, install, configure, and maintain physical server infrastructure.

Install, configure, administer, and support VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter Server environments.

Create, manage, and optimize virtual machines across VMware platforms.

Perform VMware infrastructure upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities.

Monitor system performance, storage utilization, and resource allocation to ensure optimal availability.

Troubleshoot hardware, virtualization, storage, and networking issues.

Manage VM migrations, backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.

Work closely with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams to support business requirements.

Perform capacity planning and provide recommendations for infrastructure improvements.

Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and configuration standards.

Ensure VMware environments meet security, compliance, and operational standards.

Provide L2/L3 support for server and virtualization-related incidents and service requests
