Position: PI Field Engineer

Location: Subang Site Office

Jalan Lapangan Terbang Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah, 47301 Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Contract Duration: 12 Months-renewable

Salary: RM3,500/month (Fresh Graduate with Degree)

Negotiable for candidates with relevant railway industry experience


Educational Requirement

Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (Preferred)

Role Summary

The PI Field Engineer supports Product Introduction (PI) activities in a railway environment, including testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and warranty support. This role works closely with clients, engineering teams, suppliers, and technical experts to ensure trains meet safety, quality, and performance requirements.


Key Responsibilities

Execute Product Introduction (PI), testing, and warranty activities according to approved procedures and schedules

Conduct daily toolbox meetings, client briefings, and prepare daily/weekly technical reports

Perform train testing in accordance with Bombardier Test Procedures and prepare Test Reports (BTR)

Troubleshoot and rectify testing or warranty-related failures, identify root causes, and implement preventive actions

Coordinate Work Permits (WP), Occupancy Clearances (OC), and train movement activities

Create and manage work orders in Maximo for warranty claims and part replacements

Collaborate with Engineering, QA, suppliers, and OEMs to resolve technical issues

Monitor spare parts inventory to support testing and warranty activities

Ensure compliance with SOPs, HSE requirements, and client standards

Identify and escalate risks that may impact schedules, RAMS targets, or project delivery


Ideal Candidate

Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

Railway, rolling stock, or train systems experience is an advantage

Strong troubleshooting, testing, and fault-finding skills

Comfortable working shifts and in field/depot environments

Good communication and coordination skills
