Job Summary:
Procurement Executive is responsible for supporting daily purchasing activities to ensure adequate stock levels across supermarket outlets. The role involves sourcing suppliers, processing purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, maintaining supplier records, and coordinating with internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue purchase orders based on inventory requirements.
- Source new suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.
- Compare prices, product quality, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor stock levels and replenish products to avoid stock shortages.
- Follow up with suppliers on purchase orders and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with warehouse and outlet teams regarding stock availability.
- Resolve issues related to delivery delays, shortages, damaged goods, and product returns.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases.
- Assist in supplier evaluations and contract renewals.
- Monitor product costs and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and food safety standards.
- Prepare procurement reports and documentation as required.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in retail, supermarket, or FMCG.
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with ERP, inventory management, or retail systems is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
