Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Test Technician to join our manufacturing team in Batu Kawan, Pulau Pinang. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing product testing, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to ensure products meet the company's quality and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing activities on units using the company's designated test platforms and equipment.
- Execute test sequences in accordance with PMS Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Troubleshoot and debug units with minor test failures to ensure production targets are met.
- Identify process, material, and equipment issues that may impact productivity and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct routine cleaning and preventive maintenance of test fixtures and manufacturing equipment.
- Practice and maintain 5S standards at all Test Work Benches before, during, and after each shift.
- Ensure all test tools, fixtures, and equipment are properly organized and maintained according to company standards.
- Read and interpret engineering schematics, assembly drawings, and technical datasheets to support testing and troubleshooting activities.
- Assist in failure analysis, root cause investigation, rework, and repair of non-conforming products.
- Prepare and maintain Failure Analysis Reports and other related documentation as required.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (CIP) initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to achieve business objectives.
Education & Experience
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related disciplines.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with a Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 must possess 2–3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or semiconductor environments.
- Experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing will be an added advantage.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, particularly RF Matching Networks and Generators, is preferred.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting, testing methodologies, and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Basic knowledge of LabVIEW, C++, Microsoft Excel, and Excel automation/macros is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Employment Type: Contract (6 months)
