Volta Forensic, incorporated in Malaysia in 2023 as Volta Engineering and Inspection Sdn. Bhd., is a specialized provider of forensic investigation and failure analysis services for electrical equipment. The company operates internationally, supporting clients in identifying root causes of electrical equipment failures and improving system reliability. Volta Forensic also delivers technical inspection, expert witness services, and technical training to the power utility and related industries. As an associate of KEMA Labs, the company offers regional support for Testing, Inspection, and Certification services, providing access to globally recognized expertise and standards.


Role Description


The Consultant (Electrical Engineer) is a full-time, on-site role based in Bandar Saujana Putra. This role involves conducting forensic investigations and failure analysis of electrical equipment, including reviewing technical documentation, performing site inspections, and preparing detailed technical reports. The consultant will provide expert advice to clients on electrical design, power distribution systems, and mitigation measures to prevent future failures. Daily tasks include collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, supporting testing and inspection activities, and contributing to technical training and knowledge sharing. The role may also involve assisting with expert witness preparation and participating in client meetings to present findings and recommendations.


Qualifications


• Open to MALAYSIAN citizens

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

• 2 -3 years experience in power systems, utilities, renewable energy and project management

• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (minimum Graduate Engineer)

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical writing skills

• Good language proficiency and able to articulate complex problems in English and Bahasa Malaysia

• Willing to travel and possess a valid Malaysian driving license


Key Responsibilities


• Forensic engineering and electrical failure investigations

• Research studies, due diligence and feasibility assessments

• Consultancy and advisory for power utilities and renewables industry

• Inspections - FAT, SAT, Type Testing and commissioning

• Development and delivery of specialized technical training programmes and workshops

• Site work across Malaysia and occasionally overseas
