Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct original research on problems in algebraic complexity, with emphasis on GCT, border complexity, Waring/tensor rank, and connections to representation theory and algebraic geometry.

  • Publish research outcomes in leading venues in theoretical computer science and mathematics, and present findings at international conferences and workshops.

  • Collaborate with the PI and other group members on ongoing projects, and help formulate new research directions at the intersection of complexity theory and algebra.

  • Contribute to the intellectual life of the group by participating in seminars, reading groups, and reviewing activities.

  • Mentor and provide informal supervision to PhD and Master's students working on related topics.

  • Assist in the preparation of research proposals, technical reports, and other deliverables associated with the project.

Job Requirements:

  • Preferably PhD in Mathematics/Computer Science or equivalent.

  • Independent, highly analytical, proactive and a team player

  • Excellent teamwork and verbal, written communication skills

  • In-depth knowledge relevant to the project domain.  

  • Ability to initiate collaboration research in multidisciplinary team.

  • Oversee and report project progress.

  • Ability and willingness to work some flexible hours.
