Quality & Quantity Expert

About the Role
Pertamina International Marketing & Distribution Pte. Ltd. (PIMD) is seeking an experienced Expert in Quality & Quantity to support the management of product quality and quantity assurance for imported petroleum cargoes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding cargo integrity, minimizing operational losses, and supporting efficient international supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage quality and quantity control activities for imported petroleum cargoes at overseas loading ports.
• Coordinate with independent surveyors and laboratories to ensure cargo quality and quantity comply with contractual requirements.
• Witness loading operations, sampling, inspection, and testing activities.
• Monitor product quality and investigate quality or quantity discrepancies.
• Evaluate the performance of suppliers, surveyors, and laboratories, and recommend improvements.
• Prepare reports and provide technical recommendations to support operational decisions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, HSSE requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and other duties assigned by the Manager.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Chemistry, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years' relevant working experience with a Bachelor's Degree
• Experience in Supply Chain Management, particularly in Inventory Management, Logistics, or Petroleum Supply & Distribution.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an Analyst, Senior Analyst, Senior Executive, or Supervisory position.
• Strong understanding of cargo quantity measurement, petroleum product quality assurance, laboratory testing, and inspection processes.
• Familiarity with international cargo operations, marine logistics, and import supply chains.
• Knowledge of HSSE principles, risk management, and corporate governance practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
• Willingness to travel overseas to witness loading operations and conduct inspections when required.
• Experience in the oil & gas, energy trading, refining, shipping, or petroleum logistics industries.
• Experience working with independent inspection companies and laboratories.
• Knowledge of petroleum product quality standards, custody transfer, and cargo loss prevention.
• Experience managing quality or quantity disputes and supplier performance.
• Familiarity with international maritime operations and petroleum import activities.
