About the job

Join Asia's IP management and creative entertainment powerhouse, Medialink Group—where we connect the world's most beloved IP with audiences, licensees, and stakeholders across the region.

Behind every great partnership are three things we live by: passion, persistence, and partnership. If those words resonate with you, this is your opportunity.

We're looking for a Licensing Manager to drive growth and unlock new opportunities across the Malaysian market. You'll be the vital link between our partners and teams on the ground in Malaysia. If you thrive on building relationships, spotting opportunities, and turning strategy into measurable growth—this is your stage.

WHAT YOU'LL DO?

  • Be the bridge. Connect with licensees in Malaysia, ensuring seamless communication and support at every stage of the partnership.
  • Shape growth together. Co-create Joint Business & Brand Development Plans with partners—setting clear KPIs and growth levers while sharing best practices across markets.
  • Open new doors. Identify and develop new business opportunities and cross-industry collaborations across diverse sectors, including FMCG, Food & Beverage, Fashion, and retail, with both existing and new customers.
  • Own the process. Manage all licensing activities, applications, contracts, and revenue tracking for the Malaysia market.
  • Lead relationships. Independently nurture licensee relationships and business communications to keep every licensing activity moving smoothly.
  • Represent the brand. Champion our premier anime IPs and brands in trade meetings and negotiations while building positive relationships with stakeholders across Malaysia.
  • Inspire the field. Meet regularly with sales, merchandising, and event teams to track targets, provide training, share best practices, listen to feedback, and spark enthusiasm for the brand.
  • Know the market. Map the entire Malaysian licensing ecosystem—from convenience stores and modern trade channels to e-commerce platforms—and turn deep insights into smart strategic decisions.
  • Stay ahead. Conduct regular market research, monitor retail demand, and contribute to marketing planning and execution.

Who You Are

  • Able to work in Malaysia legally
  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in the licensing field
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong communicator—independent, self-motivated, and driven
  • Conversational proficiency in English. Proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus (HK Base Company)
