ROLE:
As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you'll embody a fervor for culinary delights, impeccable service, and leadership. Collaborating closely with the Restaurant Manager, your focus will be on ensuring seamless operations, delivering exceptional experiences, and guiding the team towards a shared commitment to excellence, creating an unforgettable escape for our guests, even if just for an evening.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Restaurant Manager to lead operations with passion, integrity and knowledge while promoting the culture and defining principles of Black Sheep Restaurants.
- Lead from the front, telling our story and delivering memorable guest experiences and world-class service.
- Ensure the team are driving revenue at every opportunity through covers, spend per head and incentives.
- Provide direction and leadership to team members to stay motivated, focused and achieve restaurant goals.
- Implement Black Sheep Restaurants guidelines by developing training plans, checklists and instructing the team.
- Review operations, proactively problem solve and seek out opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support recruitment, retention and development initiatives to help grow the next generation of hospitality leaders.
- Support onboarding, following induction plans and provide full support and guidance for new team members.
- Provide feedback to the Restaurant Manager to help assess individual and team performance.
- Manage the restaurant to exceed standards of food quality, safety, hygiene, cleanliness and maintenance.
- Carry out monthly/ weekly inventory counts - take ownership of cost control to ensure spending falls in line with budget.
- Host daily team briefings and training when instructed by the Restaurant Manager.
- Understand and operate Revel and POS, maintaining cash handling procedures.
- Oversee daily opening/ closing duties including End of Day practices and reporting from both Revel and SevenRooms.
- Support the Restaurant Manager to prepare weekly meeting agendas, including producing finances, proposing Champions, reporting maintenance needs, and putting together the monthly training calendar.
- Take a keen interest in food, wine, the hospitality industry and happenings across Black Sheep Restaurants.
- Nurture a positive working environment, building strong relationships with teammates.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16,168.64 - $34,532.98 per month
