Job Description

Responsibilities

Our client, a growing company in the interior design and construction industry, is seeking an experienced Structural Project Manager (Mandarin Speaking) to join its team based in Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur.

This role is ideal for a hands-on project professional with strong experience in structural construction and site management. You will oversee project execution from planning through completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent discipline.
  • 5–8 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong experience in structural works is mandatory.
  • Proven experience managing residential, commercial, or high-rise construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of structural systems, construction materials, and construction methodologies.
  • Good understanding of Bill of Quantities (BQ), tendering processes, cost control, and project budgeting.
  • Familiar with Malaysian construction regulations, safety standards, and local authority requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects independently while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Results-driven with strong accountability and organisational skills.
  • Able to communicate in Mandarin and English to support project coordination and stakeholder communication.

ResponsibilitiesProject & Site Management

  • Oversee daily site operations to ensure project progress remains on schedule.
  • Plan and manage project timelines, manpower allocation, resources, and budgets.
  • Supervise site teams and contractors to ensure quality workmanship and timely completion.
  • Maintain daily site reports, progress updates, and photographic documentation.

Cost & Contract Management

  • Review and verify Bill of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, and tender documentation.
  • Source quotations from suppliers and evaluate pricing for cost optimisation.
  • Prepare cost comparisons and provide recommendations to Management.

Coordination with Quantity Surveyors & Stakeholders

  • Work closely with Quantity Surveyors on progress claims, valuations, and certifications.
  • Ensure Variation Orders (VOs) are properly evaluated, documented, and approved.
  • Support cost analysis for materials, subcontractors, and procurement activities.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with construction standards, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Monitor workmanship quality and structural integrity throughout project execution.
  • Identify project risks and resolve site issues promptly to minimise delays.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
