Our client, a well-established company in the financial services industry, is looking for experienced Senior Python Back-End Developers to join its expanding technology team based in Damansara, Petaling Jaya.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of backend development experience with strong expertise in Python.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system design principles.
• Experience developing microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Experience with containerisation technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Helm is an advantage.
• Experience building real-time systems or working with WebSockets is a plus.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Good understanding of application security standards and backend best practices.
• Experience with PHP is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and services using Python.
• Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, architecture designs, and implementation plans.
• Develop and maintain microservices-based applications to ensure scalability and maintainability.
• Build and maintain APIs, third-party integrations, and real-time services using WebSockets where applicable.
• Design efficient SQL and NoSQL database structures to optimise system performance.
• Implement asynchronous processing using messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop unit tests and integration tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, identify improvement opportunities, and maintain coding standards.
• Ensure backend applications meet security, scalability, and performance requirements.
• Utilise Git and CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and deployment.
• Present technical solutions and implementation progress to technical leads and stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with emerging backend technologies and industry best practices.

Pay: Up to RM12,000.00 per month
