Our client, a growing company in the interior design and fit-out industry, is looking for a creative and passionate Interior Designer (Mandarin Speaking) to join its team based in Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur.

This is an excellent opportunity for designers who enjoy transforming ideas into functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces. You will manage projects from concept development through completion while working closely with clients, suppliers, and contractors to deliver quality residential and commercial interior design solutions.

Working Hours:

• Monday – Friday
• 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in interior design (residential and/or commercial projects preferred).
• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Able to manage projects independently.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp and/or 3ds Max, and Adobe Photoshop or equivalent software.
• Strong understanding of space planning, furniture, lighting, materials, and finishes.
• Able to prepare technical drawings, layouts, and presentation materials.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin and English to support client communication.
• Creative with strong design aesthetics and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
• Proactive and able to manage multiple project timelines effectively.

ResponsibilitiesClient Engagement & Consultation

• Meet clients to understand project requirements, design preferences, and budgets.
• Provide professional recommendations on design concepts, space planning, materials, and finishes.
• Present design concepts, mood boards, and project proposals.

Design Development

• Prepare technical drawings, layouts, and detailed design specifications.
• Develop creative design concepts and functional space planning solutions.
• Produce presentation materials for client approval.

Material & Vendor Coordination

• Source suitable materials, furniture, lighting, finishes, and accessories.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors throughout project execution.
• Ensure selections align with project requirements and budget.

Project Coordination & Execution

• Conduct site visits and site measurements.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders throughout project implementation.
• Monitor project progress, timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure successful completion.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
