Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision
- Supervise daily construction activities on site.
- Ensure all works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
- Monitor workmanship to ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Coordinate site activities to ensure smooth project execution.
- Resolve minor site issues promptly and escalate major issues to the Project Manager.
2. Progress Monitoring
- Monitor daily work progress against the project schedule.
- Ensure subcontractors meet planned targets and deadlines.
- Report delays, constraints, and risks affecting project progress.
- Assist in planning manpower, equipment, and material requirements.
3. Coordination
- Coordinate with Project Engineers, Consultants, Architects, Clients, and Subcontractors.
- Attend site meetings and toolbox meetings.
- Ensure proper communication between site personnel and management.
- Coordinate inspections with consultants and relevant authorities.
4. Quality Control
- Ensure construction works comply with:
- Approved drawings
- Construction specifications
- Company Quality Management System (QMS)
- Client requirements
- Identify defective works and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Monitor material quality before installation.
5. Safety & Health
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) requirements.
- Enforce site safety rules and regulations.
- Conduct daily safety briefings/toolbox talks when required.
- Report accidents, incidents, unsafe conditions, and near misses immediately.
- Ensure workers wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
6. Site Documentation
- Maintain accurate daily site records.
Prepare:
- Daily Site Report
- Labour Attendance Record
- Site Progress Report
- Material Delivery Record
- Equipment Usage Record
- Record weather conditions and site activities.
7. Material & Equipment Control
- Monitor delivery of construction materials.
- Verify quantities and quality upon delivery.
- Ensure proper storage of materials.
- Report shortages or damages immediately.
8. Workforce Management
- Supervise site workers and subcontractors.
- Allocate daily work assignments.
- Monitor attendance and productivity.
- Ensure workers comply with company policies.
9. Housekeeping
- Ensure site cleanliness and proper housekeeping.
- Ensure waste materials are disposed of properly.
- Maintain organized work areas to improve safety and productivity.
10. Compliance
- Ensure compliance with:
- CIDB requirements
- Local Authority regulations
- DOSH requirements
- Environmental regulations
Job Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology, or related field.
- SPM holders with extensive construction experience are encouraged to apply.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of site supervision experience in the construction industry.
- Experience supervising subcontractors and multiple trades.
- Experience in high-rise residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed development projects is an advantage.
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
