Company Overview

We are a growing EV charging solution provider, delivering end-to-end services for residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Our projects include installing EV chargers in condominiums, hotels, factories, and large-scale developments. As we expand, we are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Technician to join our Penang-based team and support our commercial and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute installation, testing, and commissioning of EV chargers and related electrical systems.
• Read, interpret, and work from electrical single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and layout plans.
• Perform site assessments, troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and relevant TNB, ST, and local authority regulations.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery of projects.
• Prepare and maintain site documentation, reports, and as-built drawings.
• Install and configure supporting equipment
• Coordinate with subcontractors during commercial project execution.
• Inspect installation quality and ensure readiness for commissioning.
• Complete commissioning checklists and system verification.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
• Diagnose electrical, networking, and charger-related faults.
• Carry out on-site troubleshooting and repair.
• Prepare maintenance reports and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial or industrial electrical installations, preferably involving LV switchboards, distribution boards and control systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical protection systems, voltage drop, earthing, and load balancing.
• Previous experience with EV charger installation is an advantage.
• Valid PW4 / PW2 license or equivalent (preferable).
• Able to work independently and take accountability for site work.
• Willing to travel to project sites across Malaysia if required.

Additional Advantage

• Experience in EV charging, solar PV, or sustainable energy sectors.
• Familiar with HIRARC, method statements, and compliance documentation.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Experience working in a startup environment is an added advantage.
