Job Description

Responsibilities

Company Description Great Eastern Financial Advisers (GEFA), officially launched in March 2011, is one of the largest financial advisory firms in Singapore, with a strong team of financial consultants. GEFA operates under a unique business model that combines the strengths of a major insurance company with those of an independent advisory firm. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Great Eastern Holdings and a member of the OCBC Group, GEFA offers strong institutional backing and robust infrastructure support. Customers benefit from access to insurance solutions and investment opportunities from more than 50 insurance companies and fund managers. This breadth of options, combined with professional advice and trusted service standards, creates a compelling environment for both clients and advisory professionals.

Role Description The Wealth Management Advisor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Singapore. The advisor will engage clients to understand their financial goals, assess their current financial situation, and develop tailored wealth management plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing advice on investments, insurance solutions, and retirement planning, and conducting regular portfolio reviews to ensure strategies remain aligned with clients’ objectives. The role involves preparing financial reports and proposals, staying current with market trends and regulatory changes, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver comprehensive financial solutions. The advisor is expected to build long-term client relationships through proactive communication, ethical conduct, and high-quality service.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Financial Planning and Retirement Planning to design holistic, goal-based advisory solutions.
  • Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Investments and Finance to analyze products, manage portfolios, and explain risk–return profiles clearly.
  • Candidates should possess expertise in Wealth Management Services to deliver integrated advisory across insurance, investment, and protection needs.
  • Relevant academic background in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related disciplines is preferred.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CFP, CFA, or equivalent local financial advisory licenses) are advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Proven client-facing experience, high ethical standards, and a commitment to regulatory compliance and client confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple client portfolios, and use digital tools and financial planning software effectively.
