Responsibilities

Intro: Escape siloed hardware roles! Lead end-to-end architecture and design for next-gen carrier-grade telecom systems with a global Tier-1 leader. Drive JDM partner strategy, control master production BOMs, and guide elite teams. Kuala Lumpur. Hybrid 3-day office setup.

About You

  • Experience as: Senior Hardware Engineer, Board Design Engineer, Systems Delivery Engineer, or NPI Hardware Engineer.
  • Level: Open to multiple levels (Engineer: 4–6 years / Senior or Lead: 7+ years).

Project / Client: A premier, iconic global telecommunications pioneer renowned for shaping carrier-grade mobile networks and setting the benchmark for international connectivity standards.

What you will do

  • Accountable for hardware delivery, product quality, and cost margins.
  • Guide cross-functional engineering teams through board bring-up and verification.
  • Control the master BOM and product configurations with international JDM partners.
  • Execute root-cause failure analysis for complex factory and field challenges.

Choose your technical path: We are actively hiring across two technical disciplines

  • Option 1: System Delivery & Bring-up. Focus on board bring-up, prototype design, and functional verification.
  • Option 2: Component Configuration & BOM. Focus on master BOM management and JDM factory alignment.

Experience you need

  • 5+ years designing complex telecommunication hardware, CPE, or routing devices.
  • Deep architecture expertise in high-speed digital design, CPUs, and power management.
  • Direct experience debugging designs for global compliance standards (CE, FCC, ETSI).

Work Arrangement / Benefits

  • Hybrid: 3 days a week in office / 2 days home.
  • Office: KL City (KTM / LRT Link)
  • Contract: 2-year extendable contract.
