About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to lead contract management activities across the full project lifecycle—from tendering and contract negotiation through execution, claims management, and project close-out. The successful candidate will play a critical role in safeguarding contractual interests, managing commercial risks, ensuring compliance, and driving successful project outcomes within a dynamic Oil & Gas environment.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management & Negotiation
- Lead the review, drafting, negotiation, and administration of contracts with clients, subcontractors, and business partners.
- Support tendering activities through contract reviews, qualification submissions, and risk assessments.
- Ensure contractual obligations, risks, and opportunities are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide advice on contract strategy, commercial matters, and contractual compliance.
Contract Execution & Commercial Support
- Manage contract administration, contract correspondence, change orders, variations, extensions of time (EOT), claims, and dispute resolution.
- Oversee progress claims, invoicing, revenue collection, and contract-related cash flow activities.
- Monitor contractual deliverables, performance guarantees, insurance requirements, and critical milestones.
- Support project close-out activities, including final account settlement and warranty obligations.
Risk Management & Governance
- Identify contractual risks and implement mitigation measures throughout tender and project execution phases.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, company governance, and applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
- Participate in risk reviews, audits, and project governance meetings.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the focal point for contractual matters between project teams, clients, legal advisors, procurement, and leadership teams.
- Provide commercial and contractual guidance to Project Managers and Project Directors.
- Lead contract familiarization sessions and support cross-functional teams with contract-related matters.
Team Leadership
- Mentor and guide Contract Administrators and support their professional development.
- Promote knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and contract management best practices.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Law/Engineering/Quantity Surveying/Business Management/Project Management.
- Legal qualifications and professional certifications such as RICS, CIArb, CIOB or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 7-12 years of experience in Contract Management.
- Proven experience managing medium to large-scale projects.
- Experience within the Oil & Gas, EPC, Offshore Construction, Engineering, or Energy industry is highly preferred.
- Experience leading contract administration teams and managing complex contractual negotiations.
