Responsibilities

About the Role


We are seeking a driven Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Executive to own the full recruitment lifecycle and deliver a first-class onboarding experience across our hospitality and property businesses. This role requires someone who can run recruitment independently from high-volume frontline hiring (F&B, front office, housekeeping, property operations) to corporate and specialist roles while working directly with leadership on workforce planning and employer branding.


Key Responsibilities


Talent Acquisition (Full Cycle)

  • Own end-to-end recruitment: job briefs with hiring managers, job postings, sourcing, screening, interviews, offers and pre-employment checks.
  • Manage both volumes hiring for hospitality and targeted hiring for corporate, sales, property, designer, front office roles etc.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for hard-to-fill and high-turnover positions; don't just react to vacancies stay ahead of them.
  • Source creatively across channels: job portals (JobStreet, LinkedIn, Indeed, Hiredly), social media, walk-in interviews, career fairs, hotel schools/colleges, and employee referrals.
  • Negotiate offers within approved salary structures and manage candidate expectations professionally.
  • Track and report recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness, offer acceptance rate) to leadership.


Onboarding & New Hire Experience

  • Design and run a structured onboarding programme that gets new hires productive fast orientation, documentation, uniform/system/access setup, property tours and buddy assignments.
  • Coordinate with department heads to ensure Day-1 readiness for every new joiner, from frontline staff to management hires.
  • Conduct 30/60/90-day check-ins with new hires and hiring managers; flag early attrition risks and act on them.
  • Continuously improve onboarding based on feedback measure it, don't guess.


Employer Branding & Engagement

  • Strengthen our employer brand on social media and job platforms to attract hospitality and property talent.
  • Represent the company at career fairs, campus events and industry networking sessions.
  • Build partnerships with hospitality schools, universities, and training institutions for internship and management trainee pipelines.


Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement

  • Partner directly with leadership and department heads on manpower planning, headcount budgets, and hiring priorities.
  • Advise hiring managers on market salary benchmarks, candidate availability and realistic hiring timelines push back constructively when needed.
  • Present hiring updates and talent market insights to leadership with clarity and confidence.


Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of talent acquisition experience; hospitality, property, retail, or other high-volume/service industries strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple vacancies across levels simultaneously and deliver under tight timelines.
  • Familiar with Malaysian hiring practices, employment documentation and basic Employment Act requirements; exposure to foreign worker hiring is a plus.
  • Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin or other languages an advantage for guest-facing role hiring.
  • Comfortable and willing to use AI tools and recruitment technology daily.
