Role Description This is a full-time, the Business Development Junior Executive is responsible for supporting the Business Development Manager in identifying, developing, and pursuing new business opportunities within Malaysia. The position will be based in Kuala Lumpur and may require domestic travel to support client meetings, project coordination, and commercial activities.

The role will assist in market research, data collection, customer profiling, lead tracking, preparation of quotations, tender submissions, commercial proposals, presentations, reports, and other business development documentation. The incumbent will also support coordination with clients, vendors, internal departments, and the regional commercial team to ensure business opportunities are followed up effectively and submissions are completed in a timely manner.

The position will provide junior-level commercial and administrative support in developing customer relationships, monitoring upcoming projects, maintaining business records, and supporting the overall growth of the company’s business development activities.

The role will focus on key business sectors such as Oil & Gas and Cable. The services promoted to customers may include vessel support, crew-related services, logistics support, technical services, equipment rental, fabrication, repair, maintenance services, full marine agency, local logistics, and project logistics. 

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years’ working experience in business development, commercial, logistics, infrastructure, oilfield, or project logistics industry.

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, or related discipline.

• Experience in engaging commercially with infrastructure, marine, logistics, and Oil & Gas industry players will be an added advantage.

• Basic knowledge of tender preparation, quotation, proposal submission, client follow-up, and commercial documentation.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to liaise with clients, vendors, authorities, and internal stakeholders.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and preferably MS Project.

• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.

• Able to prepare reports, presentation materials, meeting minutes, and commercial correspondence.

• Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimum supervision.

• Possess own transportation and willing to travel within Malaysia when required.
