Job Description

Responsibilities

Conda Capital is an investment fund. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Finance Manager to establish and lead our finance function.


Reporting directly to the principal of the firm, the Assistant Finance Manager will be the cornerstone of our finance function, responsible for all finance-related activities within the firm. As the sole in-house finance professional, you will oversee the financial health of the company, ensuring compliance, performing accounting and reporting, managing treasury function, and providing strategic financial insights. This role requires a hands-on approach, with responsibilities ranging from high-level financial planning to day-to-day operational tasks.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Control & Reporting

  • Oversee full set of accounts and ensure timely and accurate monthly book-keeping
  • Prepare annual financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and SFRS standards
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies, where required
  • Implement financial controls and maintain accurate financial records

Treasury & Cash Management

  • Manage cash flow, bank accounts and liquidity
  • Maintain relationships with financial institutions and support onboarding

Tax & Regulatory Compliance

  • Work with external tax advisor and oversee tax planning and compliance
  • Work with external tax advisor to optimize firm’s tax position while complying with tax regulations

Budgeting & Systems

  • Develop budget planning and forecasting to analyze financial performance of the firm and any other reporting requirements to management
  • Set up and continually enhance financial systems and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field;.
  • Proven experience 4-5 years in a finance or audit role, preferably within the asset management or hedge fund.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP).
  • Possess analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast- paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
