Within our Global HR function, the Business Process Optimization (BPO) team plays a key role in driving streamlined, high-quality, and cost-efficient end-to-end HR processes across the organisation.

As the Business Support & Strategic Projects Director, you will lead strategic HR initiatives, drive global process improvements, and oversee the delivery of transformation projects that enhance HR services and support the evolution of our global operating model.

This is a unique opportunity to partner with senior stakeholders across the business, influence global HR processes, and make a tangible impact on how HR services are delivered worldwide.

Your key accountabilities include:

Customer Management

• Engage with middle and senior HR stakeholders across regions and the BPO peer group.
• Provide expert guidance on process-related topics of medium to high complexity, including implementation and optimisation.
• Translate customer requirements into practical, scalable solutions aligned with global standards.

Stakeholder Management

• Align proposed process changes with affected stakeholders (e.g. regional and country HR representatives).
• Advocate for global process standardisation and influence stakeholders to adopt required changes.
• Collaborate with DHL HR Centres of Excellence (CoEs).
• Drive engagement with BPO country and regional extensions.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project milestones, deliverables, and budget performance.

Strategic Project Management

• Define and document project scope, objectives, and requirements.
• Lead HR transformation projects, including large-scale implementations and system rollouts.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to agreed quality standards.
• Coordinate global transitions and deployment of new services or enhancements.
• Ensure adherence to standard methodologies and global processes.
• Contribute to the development and validation of outsourcing plans and Business Case Assessments (BCAs).
• Provide guidance on transitions to outsourcing providers.
• Identify project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions where required.

Process Management

• Gather and consolidate process improvement opportunities from business requirements, change requests, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the intake and assessment of change requests across the organisation.
• Assess the cost-benefit and business impact of proposed process improvements.
• Prioritise change requests in line with strategic objectives.
• Recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and customer experience.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with strong project delivery and stakeholder management skills.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively across functions.
• Solid Project/Programme Management experience leading large-scale projects from planning through to implementation.
• Strong business and operational management experience.
• A proven track record of delivering measurable improvements across HR processes.
• Experience working with enterprise HR systems (HRIS and Payroll platforms).
• PRINCE2, ITIL certification, or equivalent practical experience.
• International experience is advantageous but not essential.
