Role Description

The QA / QC Assistant Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Penang, Malaysia. This role supports the quality assurance and quality control functions by inspecting incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished products to ensure they meet company and customer specifications. The position involves performing routine quality checks, assisting with laboratory testing, maintaining calibration records for measuring equipment, and documenting inspection results. The QA / QC Assistant Executive collaborates with production teams to address non-conformities, supports root cause analysis, and helps implement corrective actions. The role also includes updating quality-related documentation, assisting with internal audits, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the quality management system.

Qualifications

• Strong Analytical Skills to interpret test results, identify trends, and support problem-solving in production and quality processes.
• Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills to perform inspections, monitor standards, and maintain compliance with internal and customer requirements.
• Laboratory Skills to handle basic testing procedures, operate relevant instruments, and accurately record and report data.
• Calibration skills to maintain, verify, and document the accuracy of measuring tools and equipment used in quality checks.
• Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical field are beneficial.
• Knowledge of ISO quality systems, good documentation practices, and familiarity with industrial manufacturing environments are advantageous.
• Attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Basic computer skills and experience using spreadsheets or quality-related software tools.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin (spoken and written) is required to liaise effectively with certain customers and suppliers.
