Key Responsibilities:
A. Main Scope of Works
i. Contract Review, Drafting and Legal Advisory
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements, construction-related agreements, consultancy agreements, service agreements, tenancy agreements, lease agreements, financing documents and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and provide legal support and advice to business units.
- Identify legal and contractual risks and recommend practical solutions.
ii. Property Development, Conveyancing and Land Matters
- Assist in matters relating to residential and commercial Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPAs), tenancy and lease documentation, conveyancing transactions, and property development matters.
- iCoordinate land searches, consent applications, adjudication, stamping, perfection of transfer and perfection of charge.
- Liaise with external solicitors, financial institutions, Land Offices, LHDN and other relevant authorities.
iii. Corporate Governance, Secretarial Review and Legal Matter Management
- Review board papers, resolutions, statutory forms and corporate documents.
- Assist in company secretarial reviews, corporate governance matters, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Monitor and coordinate ongoing legal matters handled by external solicitors and provide updates to management.
B. Other Relevant Scope of Work (if any)
i. Legal Administration and Documentation Management
- Maintain and update legal records, contract registers, legal databases, legal server folders and filing systems.
- Ensure proper filing, safekeeping and retrieval of legal and corporate documents.
ii. Reporting and Stakeholder Coordination
- Prepare legal status reports, management updates, meeting papers, presentations, and progress reports.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external solicitors on ongoing legal, corporate, conveyancing and dispute-related matters.
iii. General Legal and Compliance Support
- Assist the Legal Department in legal, governance, compliance, and operational matters across the Group and its subsidiaries.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) or equivalent qualification, with a strong understanding of Malaysian corporate, commercial, property, and conveyancing laws.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in property development, construction, corporate legal practice, or an in-house legal environment.
- Good knowledge and experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements, contracts, and legal documents.
- Experience in property-related matters, including Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPAs), tenancy agreements, lease documentation, conveyancing transactions, and land matters.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and recommend practical legal solutions.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, external solicitors, authorities, and other relevant parties.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple legal matters, deadlines, and priorities effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and experienced in maintaining legal documentation, contract records, and reporting requirements.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
