Job Description

Responsibilities

The Senior Human Resources Manager will lead all aspects of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, employee relations and HR operations. This role works closely with senior management to build an engaged, capable and future-ready organisation while ensuring compliance with Malaysian employment legislation.

Key ResponsibilitiesHuman Resource Strategy

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.
  • Advise management on organisational development, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Review and improve HR policies, procedures and best practices.
  • Drive initiatives that strengthen company culture and employee engagement.

Talent Acquisition

  • Lead recruitment for technical, manufacturing, laboratory and corporate positions.
  • Develop employer branding initiatives and strengthen recruitment channels.
  • Manage onboarding programmes to ensure successful integration of new employees.
  • Build relationships with universities and support internship and graduate programmes.

Performance Management & Employee Development

  • Implement and continuously improve the company's performance management system.
  • Work with department managers to establish KPIs and development plans.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate technical, leadership and compliance training.
  • Support career development and succession planning across the organisation.

Manufacturing Workforce & Employee Relations

  • Support the recruitment, onboarding and development of production operators and manufacturing employees.
  • Work closely with department managers to ensure effective manpower planning and workforce productivity.
  • Manage employee attendance, performance, disciplinary matters and workplace investigations in accordance with company policies and Malaysian labour laws.
  • Foster positive employee relations and maintain a productive, engaged and respectful workplace culture.
  • Partner with management to build a high-performing team that supports the company's growth and operational excellence.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with the Employment Act and other relevant Malaysian labour legislation.
  • Oversee payroll coordination, leave administration, attendance records and employee documentation.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience.
  • At least 3 years in a managerial or senior HR role.
  • Experience in manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, medical device or other industrial environments is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act and HR best practices.
  • Experience handling recruitment, performance management, employee relations and disciplinary matters.
