Job Description

Applied Engineering Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd. is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales initiatives, drive business growth, and build strong customer relationships within the engineering and equipment manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities to achieve sales growth.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from lead generation to closing.
• Manage the complete sales cycle, including customer engagement, quotation, negotiation, purchase order (PO) confirmation, and production handover.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve annual sales and profit targets.
• Forecast sales performance and monitor market trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Build long-term relationships with existing customers while expanding new accounts.
• Explore new markets and develop strategies to increase market penetration.
• Support distributors and business partners to maximize sales opportunities.
• Monitor competitor activities, market conditions, and customer requirements.
• Develop territory plans and manage customer accounts effectively.
• Maintain accurate sales records, customer interactions, and activity reports.
• Lead sales performance through effective planning, target management, and continuous improvement.
• Prepare regular sales reports for management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Technical Sales experience, preferably in the equipment or engineering industry.
• Strong understanding of industrial equipment, manufacturing processes, or product development lifecycle.
• Excellent business development, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRM.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities, integrity, accountability, collaboration, and professionalism.
