About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join our dynamic team at Leejin Sdn Bhd. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the company's financial operations and driving strategic financial initiatives to support the overall business objectives.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Oversee the preparation and filing of all statutory reports and tax returns
• Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insightful recommendations to senior management
• Implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and control
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business decision-making and strategic planning

What we're looking for

• Diploma/ Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Preferably at least 3-5 years of experience in a finance role
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills, with a solid understanding of IFRS and Malaysian financial reporting standards
• Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and senior management
• Experience in managing and developing a finance team
• Proficient in using financial software and MS Office applications
