Job Purpose
The Senior IT Executive is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, and end-user computing environment. The role ensures the availability, security, and reliability of IT systems by providing technical support, administering servers and networks, managing Microsoft 365 and ERP systems, maintaining IT assets, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors. The position also supports IT projects, cybersecurity initiatives, backup and disaster recovery activities, and continuous service improvement to ensure efficient business operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Infrastructure & Systems
- Administer and maintain servers, storage, network infrastructure, and IT systems.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
- Perform routine maintenance, patching, and system upgrades.
2. End-User Support
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for hardware, software, and business applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within agreed SLA targets.
- Support users across all company locations.
3. Microsoft 365 Administration
- Manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and user accounts.
- Administer user access, licensing, and security settings.
4. ERP System Support
- Support ERP system operations, user administration, troubleshooting, and system enhancements.
- Coordinate with ERP vendors to resolve application issues and support system upgrades.
5. Network & Security
- Manage firewalls, VPNs, switches, wireless networks, and internet connectivity.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices, endpoint protection, and access controls.
6. Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Monitor backup jobs and perform periodic restoration testing.
- Maintain disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
7. IT Asset Management
- Manage IT assets, including procurement, deployment, inventory, maintenance, and disposal.
- Maintain accurate asset records and software licensing.
8. Vendor & Project Management
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers.
- Support IT infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, and technology projects.
9. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain IT documentation, SOPs, system configurations, and technical manuals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, and IT governance requirements.
10. Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve IT services, operational efficiency, and user experience.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend suitable improvements.
