Role Description

The Plasma Etch Process Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Yishun, Singapore. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining plasma etch processes on advanced semiconductor equipment, including recipe creation, parameter tuning, and defect reduction.

Day-to-day tasks include running experiments, analyzing process data, performing root-cause investigations, and implementing corrective actions to improve yield and device performance. The engineer collaborates closely with equipment engineers, product teams, and customers to support tool qualifications, process transfers, and production ramp-ups.

Additional responsibilities include documenting process guidelines, contributing to best practices, and supporting continuous improvement and new technology introduction.


Requirements

  • Foundation in process engineering, including Process Engineering and Process Design skills to develop and refine plasma etch recipes.
  • Experience with Process Control methods and Analytical Skills to monitor performance, interpret data, and maintain stable, repeatable processes.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related engineering discipline, with understanding of plasma chemistry, thin films, and semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Ability to work hands-on in a fab or lab environment, including familiarity with semiconductor tools, metrology, and safety protocols.
  • Understanding of plasma science, including RIE, ICP/CCP systems, Atomic Layer Etching (ALE), and plasma-surface interaction fundamentals
