Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Machinist role based in Perai. The Machinist will operate and maintain conventional and CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and production schedules. Responsibilities include setting up machines, selecting appropriate tools and materials, performing measurements and quality checks, and adjusting machine parameters to meet specifications. The role also involves basic equipment troubleshooting, routine preventive maintenance, and accurate documentation of production activities. The Machinist will collaborate closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure safe operations, minimal downtime, and consistent output that meets company standards.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions, with solid basic math and measurement skills.
• Hands-on experience operating conventional machines (e.g., lathes, milling machines, grinders) and, preferably, CNC equipment.
• Knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, materials, tolerances, and surface finishes relevant to precision manufacturing.
• Familiarity with quality inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and basic quality control practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of workplace safety procedures, machine safety, and proper handling of tools and materials.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures, maintain production records, and report issues clearly and promptly.
• Good teamwork skills, reliability, and willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
• Relevant technical or vocational certification in machining, mechanical, or manufacturing disciplines is preferred.
• Previous experience in an electronics or industrial manufacturing setting will be an advantage.
